Six Sentence Sunday

This week, in Six Sentence Sunday, Violet’s grandchildren have come home from school with some of their cousins and friends. Everyone thinks Sunny is still safe in his cage after being tasered by the butler, but his worst act of the day is about to come.

Several minutes after Quintillia had joined the others in Clarissa, Claire, and Clementine’s room, there was a huge crash from several floors down. A number of people ran past the door to investigate, and what seemed like all of the animals began making fearful, loud noises. Many of them started stampeding through the mansion to find hiding places.

Quintillia handed Clarissa her math notebook. “There’s some commotion going on, but it’ll probably be over soon,” she signed. “At least you don’t have to listen to it.”

  1. Wow – your six sentences have definitely made me curious about this book! I’m on your team in the platform-building campaign and just wanted to say hello. I’m looking forward to getting to know you and your work.

    • As Violet later explains to the animal cops, she picked up a taser at a weapons show because she didn’t want a gun in the house where so many of her grandkids live. When the cop asks if she looked into the legality of privately owning a taser, she typically insists that Hitchcocks are above the law.
